Coffee Fix - 5 Innovative Nashville Coffee Shops

There's not much I enjoy more than a hot cup of coffee, especially when the weather begins to cool down. There are so many new local coffee shops that have opened in the Nashville area recently. I wanted to share some of my favorite coffee shops I've been to this year. I still love some of the classics, but these 5 are all unique and innovative.

HANK'S COFFEE STATION

Hank's main location is near downtown Franklin. They openend this location in May of 2024. The building was originally a gas station. I love that they kept the original building and made it their own! They also have a coffee trailer outside of Patina in Leiper's Fork (4149 Old Hillsboro Road). If you are in the Franklin area, this is a spot you can't miss! My favorite drink is the Fleur De Salted Caramel Latte. They also have some awesome hats for sale at both locations.

CAFE BABU

Cafe Babu opened in October 2024. This greek cafe is located in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood. They serve coffee in the mornings and will eventually serve wine and cocktails in the evenings. The staff was so kind and the space is beautiful! You can tell each detail inside and out is very intentional from the logo and menu to the coffee cups and interior design. I felt like I was in another country! I waited over 30 minutes for a cup of coffee, but it was worth it. They are closed on Mondays.

FAST TIMES

Fast Times opened in October of 2024 inside the 12 South Buck Mason retail store. Buck Mason purchased the Bike shop next to their store and expanded the store. They trippled the amount of inventory, divided the men's and women's clothing, and added a coffee and book shop in the middle of the two spaces. I already loved Buck Mason, but this was a genius move to bring more people inside as the neighborhood continues to grow. I went on a Saturday and the store was busy, but the line to order was short. I had the sweet latte and I would highly recommend it if you typically drink sweet or flavored lattes.

NEIGHBORLILY

Neighborlily opened in January of 2024 in Germantown. I braved the snowstorm to check it out the week they openened. They have flowers, coffee, and tea. What more could a girl want? They also sell some cute gifts! Depending on the day and time it can be busy.

MATRYOSHKA

Matryoshka is a micro-cafe located on the south side of Nashville. It opened in December of 2020. This fun and bright space has 4 tables inside. My personal favorite drink is the Diane Keaton. Not only is the coffee amazing, the innovative merch and events they host make it so unique! It really is more than just a coffee shop.
